Funding of Responsibility Switzerland

On November 14 the charity "Responsibility Switzerland" was funded. The main goal is to support the projects of Responsibility and expand the donor base.

Project Completion: School hygiene, Nepal

In June 2023 the amount of 2,500 CHF was transfered to SOS children village Switzerland. With this amount we finance the reconstruction of toilets and water pipes in public schools in Nepal.

Project Completion: Wells, Ethiopia

In December 2022 did we transfer 4,700 € to vzw Nosissa to build a well in the village Guramba in Ethiopia. Already two month later the people celebrated the inauguration of the well and the village now is supplied with clean water.

4th Charity Badminton Tournament

On October 29, after a break of 2 years we were again able to host the Charity Badminton Tournament in the town of Issum, Germany.  Totally 27 teams from different levels competed in the tournament. A great raffel and the cafeteria contributed to the success of raising around 2,500 €.

Project Completion: Latrine Construction, Niger

With CHF 2,500 CHF, latrines could be built in the town of Niamey in Niger. In addition, children and adults were informed about hygiene in schools and the surrounding area in hygiene campaigns.

Project Completion: Sanitary facilities, Armenia

We were able to support the construction of sanitary facilities and water connections in Armenia with an amount of 5,000 EUR.

Project Completion: Covid-19 hand hygiene, Zimbabwe

In September 2021, EUR 5,000 could be transferred for the project. The organization GOAL will set up 6 hand washing stations in the Kuwadzana district and be able to carry out the necessary hand hygiene training.

Project Completion: Cardio monitor, Philippines

The much-needed heart monitor worth around EUR 4,500 was delivered to the clinic in December. The employees have now put the device into operation with great pleasure

Project Completion: Health Project Adwa, Ethiopia

In May 2021 the collection goal of 4,000 CHF for the project was reached. Unfortunately, the donations could not be used as planned due to the renewed military conflict. However, the funds for urgent health and hygiene measures in the same region are used by the SOS Children's Village for those in need.

3rd Charity Badminton Tournament

On 7th of September 2019, we hosted our Third Annual Charity Badminton Tournament, in Issum, Germany.  Akin to previos years, the tournament was accompanied by games, food and prizes for entertainment.

Project Completion: La Buene Semilla, Peru

At the end of November 2020 the amount of $ 5.500 was collected to finance the new well including the water tower. The money was wired to Isaiah charity beginning of December.

Project Completion: Sodoké, Togo

Our third project was completed in June 2019. Improved hygiene standards at Kandyaa Child Protection Center could be funded with € 6,000 for installation of gender-separated sanitary facilities.

Project Completion: Matyazo, Tanzania

We completed our second project in July 2018, in support of the Matyazo Hospital in Tanzania. Donations were successfully raised to cover the $4,500 cost to purchase a much-needed surgical lamp for the hospital’s operating room.

Charity Badminton Tournament

On June 23, we held our second annual Charity Badminton Tournament in the town of Issum, Germany.  Organized by a group of OPHARDT hygiene employees, the tournament featured 17 teams from partner and surrounding companies.  Approximately $1300 was raised in support of the Matyazo Project.

Project Completion: Bali, Indonesia

In March 2020 we were able to transfer € 5,000 contribution to the costs for the new power generators to the children's homes Manuela I and II.

Project Completion: Cavite, Philippines

The inaugural project of the RESPONSIBILITY Club was successfully completed in December 2017. With your donations we were able to raise the $20,000 necessary to purchase and donate a fully-equipped ambulance to the General Trias Medicare Hospital in Cavite, Philippines.

Charity Badminton Tournament

At the beginning of the month, OPHARDT hygiene employees planned the first annual Charity Badminton Tournament in support of RESPONSIBILITY e.V.  In total, 19 teams participated in the event, which successfully raised approximately $ 4000  to go toward our first project.

RESPONSIBILITY e.V. Founding

In 2016 Heiner Ophardt called together a group of OPHARDT hygiene employees to found RESPONSIBILITY e.V., a registered charity aimed at elevating health and well-being in underdeveloped communities around the world.
